Organisational Chart and Processes

1. President of the Society
2. Secretary of the Society
3. Head of the Dept.
4. Principal of the College
5. Office headed by Administrative Officer with Ministerial Staff looking after various works
The Principal of the College is appointed by the Society and serves as a link between the Society and the Staff and between the Society and the Students He will be held responsible for the smooth conduct of Institution leading to the realization of the objectives for which the college has come into being The Principal is assisted by the Administrative Officer.

Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic
affairs /improvements

The Principal holds periodical meetings with the teaching staff and the class representatives regularly to review the academic work accomplished by the respective members of the staff and also to have the first-hand information about the performance of the teachers in the class rooms. Feedback is obtained in the normal course from the students about the difficulties encountered with regard to learning any particular subject. This gives us a fair idea of as to how the relevant information can be fed to the teachers concerned to fill the gaps. Based on the feedback, measures are initiated to improve the quality of teaching and to give the best possible education to the students admitted to this college. In addition, the teachers move very closely with the students and carefully monitor their progress in studies. In the process they identify the students who are weak in their subject and arrange for extra coaching by the staff for all such students in the staff room.

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic / good Governance

The Head of the Department is given the freedom to assign the teaching programme to the individual teachers. He has to co-ordinate the activities of the Department and readjust the work if any of the teachers go on leave. He will discuss the matters relating to the grievances of the staff and of the students with the Secretary and Principal of the College and take such steps as would help them to work for the academic growth and development of the college. The Departmental purchases are made on the recommendations of the Heads of the Department concerned.

Students Feedback on Institutional Governance / faculty performance

The college has taken care to put grievance boxes at different places on the campus. The students who are afraid of representing to the authorities about the deficiencies noted by them in teaching, will naturally resort to putting slips in the grienvance boxes. These boxes are opened during week-ends. Collecting the information, the authorities take action to redress their grievances. The Principal of the college also holds meeting with the class representatives to get effective feedback from them. The Heads of the Departments will also discuss with the Principal of the college the need to bring about radical changes in teaching so that the students are kept well informed. All these measures have brought about the desired results and all the sections are happy about teaching in the college.

Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

Periodical meetings with the faculty, staff and students have been yielding the desired results on all the fronts including academic programmes. The students could meet the Principal directly and represent their grievances openly. If not, they can put in slips in the grievance boxes installed on the campus. The Head of the Department meet the teachers of the department to know their problems, if any. Likewise the students also make representations with the Head of the Department and at times with the Principal to seek solutions to their problems. We are happy that there has been effective feedback from the students through them, the staff and the Heads of the Departments and this has been helping them to find suitable solutions.
